A fiber art design is a unique and intricate art form in which nylon, rayon, and satin cords are combined with a silk and cotton blended thread to make an intricate fiber “painting” on an adhesive board. The string is meticulously placed by hand in a clockwise direction, all the while being twisted and tightened to create flawless patterns, and depth within the picture. The completed piece is then sealed with a clear art glue to ensure the string’s placement. The vivid color combinations and the variation of string size, material and placement enhance the visual appeal and flow of each unique image. Every piece is done completely by hand, making each an original, one-of-kind piece. Truly a captivating art form!
